Shipping Policies

We offer free shipping (orders totaling $99) to anywhere in the continental United States, except for oversize items such as furniture and mattresses (See Below).  Please contact us for shipping rates to outside of the continental United States. 

Our standard method of shipment is UPS ground service, however USPS priority mail is used for some items.  Please allow between 3-7 business days for delivery.  If a product arrives damaged, please contact us immediately so that we can file a report for the return and arrange to send a replacement.

We can ship most of our products worldwide, usually by the United States Postal Service.  We will charge you the actual cost of the shipping.

Some items may be shipped directly from the manufacturer and shipping times will vary.

Please note that whenever possible we reuse the boxes that we receive merchandise in as shipping boxes for our customers


Shipping of Furniture and Mattresses

Shipping costs for furniture and mattresses that do not include free shipping are estimated at checkout.  Once you have placed an order for these items, we will contact you with the final shipping rate.  We will not process your order until we receive your approval of the final quote.  Adult mattresses and furniture are shipped via common carrier.  Please note that in general, the delivery people do not bring these items inside your home, and they do not take packaging away.  These services, however, may be available for an additional fee.  Please let us know if you would like for us to check if this is an option for you.

 

Please inspect all furniture and mattresses upon arrival and DO NOT ACCEPT any shipment that has been opened or tampered with. Refuse any package that appears ripped or damaged.  Please note that you must do this before the driver leaves your home since furniture and mattresses cannot be returned unless there is a defect with the product that is covered under the manufacturer's warranty. 

 

Returns
Goodnight Room NYC accepts returns for most items within 20 days of the purchase date for the full purchase price less shipping costs (for those items with free shipping, the cost of the shipping will be deducted from the refund amount). Please note that we do not accept returns for furniture, bedding (including pillows), mattresses, mattress pads and toppers, unless the item has been deemed defective upon delivery.  The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping returned items.

 

All returns must be authorized in advance by email or phone.  Products must be returned in their original packaging, and be in new condition.  Packing receipts should be included.  Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, and customers must use one of the following insured or traceable services to ship returns: United States Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, or DHL.  Once you have received a return authorization, we will give you the appropriate mailing address to send your package.


We handle all our customer service directly. We want you to have a wonderful experience shopping with us. If we can be of any assistance to you, please contact us. We want you to be satisfied with your purchase and to feel comfortable recommending our site to friends and family. Please inspect the items you have ordered immediately upon delivery. Depending on the type of item ordered, you may be required to sign a Proof of Delivery receipt from UPS or the truck freight company.

Please note any damage on this receipt. If refusing a delivery due to damage please note that you have refused the shipment due to damage on the receipt. If you have a large shipment that is delivered by truck freight instead of UPS, please inspect the merchandise thoroughly prior to the truck's departure and do not accept damaged shipments. All Products are covered by the full manufacturer's warranty. Please contact us for help with warranty issues for products you purchased through our company.

We will assist you in getting these matters resolved. In the rare event that you experience damage in your shipment, please be sure to note it on the delivery paperwork you sign and contact us as soon as possible. If the carton is obviously severely damaged, please refuse the shipment. We will arrange for a replacement or replacement parts to be rushed out. We will take the quickest route to remedy the situation. In the event a replacement is delivered to you before original shipment is returned, you are responsible for cooperating with the return of the item. Failure to return the damaged item will cause us to charge your credit card for the non-returned item. If we are able to cancel your order before it is shipped or manufactured, there is no charge for the cancellation and you will receive a full refund.

If the product has been shipped, you will be responsible for round-trip (inbound and outbound) shipping charges. These charges will be deducted from your refund. Please contact us via phone or email and we will assess the situation and resolve it. We want you to be happy with the merchandise you order therefore you may return or exchange any item within 30 days of purchase.

Please remember that we are always willing to provide assistance so that you can avoid returns by selecting the right products for your needs. We understand that sometimes a return is inevitable. If a product is being returned because it is defective, it is covered by the Manufacturers' Warranties and you will not be responsible for shipping charges or any other charges on defective returns that are under warranty. If the wrong item is sent due to our error, you will also not be responsible for return shipping charges. If only one item from a multi-item shipment is defective, you will be reimbursed only for the shipping fee for the item you returned and not the shipping charges from the entire original order. Please contact us first before sending any product back. Items shipped to you directly from the manufacturer must be returned to manufacturer and may require an authorization number.

We will assist you in facilitating the return. If the product is not defective but you want to return it, then you are responsible for round-trip shipping charges on the returned items if the items you ordered have already been shipped to you. Some manufacturers may also require that we deduct a restocking fee from your refund for products which are not defective. The restocking fee is set by the manufacturer and it is between 10% and 30% of the cost of the returned item. Please contact us and we will assess your situation.


All returns are shipped to the location specified by our customer service representative, not necessarily to Goodnight Room NYC. Any returns must be in their original packaging, so don't throw the packaging away if you intend to return the item. Non-defective items will not be authorized for return after 20 days from the delivery date. Once Goodnight Room NYC or the manufacturer have received and processed a returned item, we will notify you via e-mail of your refund. In most cases, we will issue a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within 1 to 2 business days of our receiving your return. If you paid directly from your bank account, it may take up to 5 additional business days for the credit to be posted to your bank account. Refunds may not exceed price paid for item.

 

Prices
Prices are subject to change without notice.  In addition, if a product is listed at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to refuse, cancel or limit any order placed at that price.

 

Taxes
Goodnight Room NYC will withhold sales tax for orders shipped to addresses in the state of New York.

 
     

Sending a Gift - If you would like a gift card placed in with your order, put the information in the comments box at checkout and we will be happy to include your message on a gift card.

 

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

We never sell or rent your name, address, phone # or any other information about our customers to anyone!

Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to us. Your information will never be sold or exchanged. In the case of factory direct shipments from the manufacturer we will provide them with your name and address for shipment purposes only.  All credit card transactions are processed over a secure server.
